Candle Safety

Safety rules when it comes to burning candles. I’m not one of those who wants to ban all candles because they’re dangerous. All it takes is a little common sense to ensure candle safety.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. . .

Children, pets and burning candles don’t mix. . .

Don’t burn candles near flammable materials like curtains, drapes, bedding. . .

Don’t try to pick up a burning candle. . .

Don’t try to walk with a burning candle. . .

Keep away from drafts and open windows. . .

Always keep your wick trimmed to 1/4” to reduce smoke and soot, and to make your candle burn longer and more evenly.
